VOLUNTEER TO BE A POLL WORKER
Being a Poll Worker is a great way to serve your community! The Poll Workers are the key to a fair and successful Election and in Highland County we are very proud of our Poll Workers and the job they do. If you would like to be a part of our team please let us know.
Requirements:
To be a Poll Worker in the State of Ohio you must meet the following requirements:

You must be at least 17 years old and be a registered voter.

You must be registered to vote in the county you plan to work as a Poll Worker.

You have not been convicted of a felony (Unless the conviction has been reversed, expunged, or pardoned).
Also:
- You will need to have transportation to and from the polls.
- You cannot be running as a candidate or be related to a candidate who is running for election in the election you will be working.
- You will need to attend a training session.
- You will need to be able to work from 5:30 am - 8:00 pm.
How to Apply:
Simply send in a letter or email with the following information:
- Name
- Address
- Phone Number
- Party Affiliation (Required to ensure equal representation of the major political parties)
You can also call the Highland County Board of Elections ((937) 393-9961), and provide the necessary information. The training session for new poll workers are held around two weeks prior to the election in which you will be working.
